As our time in Florida is almost over - looked back over some stunning sunsets.

Today I’m having a quiet day as the villa fire alarm was quite enthusiastic last night - we never figured out why. I’ve put the colour on a few drawings I started earlier in the week.
Had a lovely day yesterday at Myakka River Park. Some shots taken with my phone as the camera I brought with me seems to be having difficulties focusing.
Arrived in Florida a few days ago. So tropical.
Beautiful Flowers.
Wild natural preserves
And colourful locals.
I found that I wasn’t taking out five stones for display and therefore had a rethink. One was very plain and the shape of the cats faces weren’t right, so faces re-shaped and more decoration added. On the other four stones the cats were merging into the background so they had a complete sand down and were redesigned. Here they are re-visited.
I’ve edited the photos taken on my recent visit to the Moray and Aberdeen Coast. Here’s some of my favourites.
The damp conditions have led to a flurry of fungi this week – all spotted along the viaduct.
What a riot of Autumn Colour as I walked home this afternoon. The sun lighting up the trees against the darkening sky was spectacular.
The idea of Especially for Ewe cards has been in my head for some time, and they have been well received by family and friends. As a starter with the public, here’s 4 Christmas ones that are now in the Upper Eden Visitor Centre.
Preparing to travel (again) - time to fill up my travel watercolours. An assortment of colours frequently used that I fill up from my tubes. Shock horror to discover my purple lake tube was empty, my Indian red had dried out and yellow ochre was nearing its end. Order placed and purple lake now filled. I can now prepare to pack other things like clothes, toiletries etc etc.
On todays meander a few fungi had seen their best and some were awkward to photo (says she removing a twig from her hair). Here’s a few I was able to get near.
My last changeover for a short while occurred yesterday whilst on duty at the Upper Eden Visitor Centre. A mixture of original art & prints, framed & unframed – here’s some of what’s now on show.
At Art Group this week I added colour to my last sketch from my recent visit to the Highlands. After a nice day weatherwise, we were treated to a peach sunset over the ocean. The Cairnbulg Beacon stood in a calm sea with small waves lapping the lethal rocks.
Here’s what been selected by Maz and Jan (owners of the White Hare Café in Kirkby Stephen) for display on the walls and in the browser. I ask Maz and Jan to select the items as they are going to be looking at these for the next few months (unless items leave the premises and head for new homes).
Latest artwork completed from a photo taken on a Sunny Scarborough day where the bees were enjoying the Sea Holly.
Added to the Flora Gallery. Prints and Cards available. See the work in progress from here.
The sales of bookmarks from the Upper Eden Visitor Centre and Hare Stones from the EVAN Gallery has meant:
The production of replacement bookmarks and a couple not before printed ( taken into the Visitor Centre today ).
The creation of some new Hare Stones - 11 to 14. Varnished and drying waiting for stands ( the standmaker aka hubby is a bit poorly right now ).
The EVAN open exhibition has started and runs until 11th November. Here’s a look around the display. You need to visit to really appreciate the artworks. Open 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday. EVAN gallery and Studios, 4 Corney Place, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 7PX.
Photos and Video by me. Artwork by me and 70 others.
