First artwork off the easel for 2024, Ocean Sundown. Been thinking about painting this since I took the photo on my last Florida trip. Started over the Christmas period with dull and damp days meaning working under my daylight lamp.
Added to my Sunset Artwork Gallery.

Now that the festive season has finished, I have visited my outlets and found that cats have been popular. Thank you buyers and I hope people received purrfect gifts and cards.
Have looked back over the year and created a video of some of my favourite paintings/drawings and photos from the months.
In between lashings of rain over the last few days I have attempted to get out and about. Spotted quite a few fungi in the moist conditions.
Along with what I think must be my final flower of 2023, winter viburnum.
Started as a project in an Art Group session where we discussed the works of Percy Kelly before having a go. Added to my landscape gallery.
You can see the work in progress from here.
Seasons Greeting to friends and followers. All the best for the festive season and into 2024.
Have been doing some work on my web site to break up some of the photo galleries hopefully enabling users to have faster loading. For example the Ullswater area now splits into 5 galleries.
Had a short fungi hunt today – mainly because I went out late. Underfoot was very slutchy ( my boots are currently crusting at the back door ). There were some nice specimens about and here’s a few that have been added to the Fungi Photo Gallery.
With a very damp day yesterday, I decided to get out my pastel pencils and have a go at drawing a special young lady. As I am quite pleased with how this has turned out I’m going to frame her and give her to Mum and Dad. Winnie in pastel pencil with pastel background.
Over the last few days I have been sorting out some flower photos from this year and updating my web page.
Nice to look at the brightness in the dull dark damp days we’ve been experiencing recently.
Went to visit my favourite fungi and lichen walls just as the sun was going down.
After photographing the minute mushrooms and lichen I looked up.
The holiday sketch book is now closed, ready to go in the suitcase tomorrow. Here’s the last batch.
